Can light bring contemplation of old patterns in new ways? These works are called Lumaphores. They are constructed from antiquated forms of music media, to give sound a new creative expression through the stimulus of light. Daydream qualities of time, memory, impressions and emotion are enhanced - through subtly modulated forms of light and shadow. These old languages of physical media hover around the fringes of early computing, as new ways to store memory emerged. Regardless of their obsolescence, they still point to a physical form of communication and memory, allowing the opportunity for something old to be viewed in a new light.
